Description

Winter is a great time to step away from the city and enjoy snow, hot springs, and good company.
This 2-day trip brings us to Kuju Forest Ski Resort for a full ski day, followed by a relaxing stay in Yufuin onsen town, and a visit to the Kokonoe Yume Suspension Bridge, which is especially beautiful when the whole area is covered in snow.

We’ll spend the first day skiing together in the mountains, then enjoy a warm dinner made with local farm vegetables, soak in the onsen, and relax in Yufuin. The second day is slower and more flexible — walking around Yufuin village, visiting cafés and hot springs, and heading out to see the snowy suspension bridge before returning to Fukuoka.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Feb 12 (Thu)

• 08:00 Meet at JR Hakata Station
• 08:15 Depart Fukuoka
• 10:30–11:00 Arrive at Kuju Forest Ski Resort
• 11:00–17:00 Ski / snowboard
• 17:15 Depart ski resort
• ~18:15 Arrive in Yufuin
• 19:00 Dinner with local veggies, chill and enjoy the night with new friends
• Evening: onsen and free time
• Overnight stay in Yufuin

Day 2 — Feb 13 (Fri)

• 07:30–08:15 Breakfast
• 09:00 Check-out
• 09:15–15:00 Free time in Yufuin
  • Kirin Lake
  • Shita-no-yu public onsen
  • Yufuin village, cafés, shops
  • Lunch on your own
• 15:00 Depart Yufuin
  • Visit Kokonoe Yume Suspension Bridge (weather permitting)
• 18:30–19:00 Return to JR Hakata Station

Transportation

Transportation will be arranged by rental cars or a van, depending on the final number of participants.
All transportation costs (fuel, tolls, parking) are shared and included in the Meetup event fee.

Meetup Event Fee

¥28,000 per person

This Meetup event fee is a coordination fee that covers shared costs and arrangements for the trip.

Ski Rental Information

Ski rental is included in the event fee.

Each participant can choose:

• Board or skis + boots only, or
• Board or skis + boots + wear

Wear includes jacket and pants.

To prepare equipment, everyone who plans to ski or snowboard must submit rental details in advance.

Snowboard stance (Regular / Goofy):
If you’re not sure, ask a friend to give you a gentle push from behind while you’re relaxed. The foot you step forward with first is usually your front foot.
Left foot in front = Regular, right foot in front = Goofy.
If you’re still unsure, just tell us your dominant foot.

• Bath towel
• Face towel (or buy on site)
• Warm inner layers
• If you already have them:

Payment details will be shared after RSVP.
Your spot is confirmed once payment is received.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancel by Feb 2, 23:59: Full refund
• After Feb 2, 23:59: No refund

If the event must be cancelled due to severe weather, natural disasters, or safety concerns, 70% will be refunded and 30% will be used to cover non-refundable coordination costs.

If payment is not completed by the deadline, RSVP may be cancelled automatically.
